Idea's for making male mc jealous

I’ve seen many stories where male mc get jealous. Personally I really don’t find it wrong to make them jealous. But all the reasons to make them jealous is so old, overused ands cringey. I need some new ideas. Can you guys give me some ideas for how to make male mc jealous? Any help is appreciated.

And what do you think about jealousy between characters? Give me your opinion!

I think jealousy upto limits is okay and kinda makes story interesting or adds comedy …if directed correctly
May be you know flirt with someone,or dance with a stranger or with who male mc dislikes

Here are some ideas

  • Ghosting them, just to see them talking with other people
  • Flirt with them, but be cold and distant the other
  • Start getting closer to their family (especially sibling) , but don’t talk to the boy/girl
  • Post s*xy/ good looking pictures on social media
  • Brag about good things in a subtle way
  • Show off at the things you are good at
  • Focus on your own goals (be distracted and uninterested)
  • Be confident and determined
